Have a question? We’ve got answers to help you.
hi, thanks for wunderlist. its really helpful. but i am wondering, what the "inbox" is for? and why am i not able to delete the "inbox" list? the name "inbox" raises expectations that i can receive something. am i able to receive things in my inbox? thanks for your help.
I just wanted to add a comment to this discussion, because I think that people are thinking on this way too much, and I personally would like the Wunderkind team to concentrate on more important features (no offense.) An inbox feature is equivalent to an inbox at an office, things go in for sorting through, rerouting or accomplishing. The feature itself is common to any Task program. Therefore, the item doesn't need renaming, just understood in comparison how a regular office operates, an inbox, an outbox. It's really that simple guys, don't overcomplicate it.
Thanks a lot Billy for your explanation :)
yep, we’ll introduce more tutorials or coachmarks with the next update to explain the basics :)
All the best from Berlin,
Thanks for using Wunderlist!
The inbox is like the inbox in your email client. There are all data which are not relating to a folder (here list). So if you add a task/item in the “today” list, it will be shown in the inbox, because it is not depending to another list. If you move the item then to a list you have created, it will move out from the inbox.
Hope that was explained easy :) If not, let me know, I will try again! :)
