I would love to use wunderlist as a base for a new app, will there be an API available soon?

Hey Maurits,

of course, there will be an API available in the near future!

All the best from Berlin,

Eric

That's hard to say, because it doesn't have high priority at the moment. Probably in the next 2-3 month for sure.

Not yet, sorry. We're currently waiting for our new backend developer, but we're having problems with getting a Visa for him :/

Will the near future be next Tuesday? Otherwise what does near future mean exactly? :)

Wäre wirklich 1a wenn da bald eine API verfügbar wäre ;) Würde die Tasks gern in einem bestehenden System (Eigenentwicklung) anbinden können... Ein etwas genauerer Termin wäre super .. =))

Would be very nice if there would be an API ;)
Thank You!

I would also love an API - would really like to be able to read out my tasks from the Linux Command Line (to show them on the desktop with Conky). Are there any news on that subject?

PS: Keep up the good work - Wunderlist is just amazing! Exactly what I was looking for.

I second this. I want to be able to add an item to a list as fast as possible (right now, I use remember the milk + find and run robot). Even a command line option would be great..

I agree, this feature is incredibly important. I want to be able to integrate my wunderlist data into the rest of my life. I need an API to do that. Actually, I'll be more specific: I need API documentation to do that. An API already exists (https://sync.wunderlist.net/1.2.0), it just isn't public yet. Please make the API public and documented!

2-3 months would be pretty soon. Any updates on the API status? :)

An API would be lovely :)

Then I could stop using AppleScript and querying the local .db file to input tasks from the command line or add recurring events. :) I would love to be able to use the most current database on the server and front-end error checking. C'mon.... :)

Thanks in advance for the hard work I know you'll eventually get to put into this!

Hello!
I used wunderlist for my iPhone and i'm pretty like it. But now i switched to windows phone 7, and i miss WL.
I decide to write an app for WP7 but there is no API.
So please let me know when the API is avilable, or maybe you publish your own app for WP7 %)

I wrote an API for .NET. You can download it here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/wunderlistapi/
It's not that great but it does all I needed: Adding, modifying and deleting tasks and task lists.
